The Naked Truth About Cancer VOLUME I is an award winning book, that shares Jane Marshall’s painfully-honest experience of going through breast cancer treatment, whilst Melbourne was locked down during 2020/2021. It is full of beautifully-shot photos, and practical hints and tips for how to navigate work & relationships.
She wrote it for 2 reasons. Firstly, the diary she kept and which she has published unfiltered says to women with breast cancer everywhere that everything you’re going through is completely normal; And secondly she talks about breast cancer as a rite of passage -a major life moment where very little is ever the same again - and offers a framework for how to navigate the many different phases of this transformation.
After getting the all clear, the cancer is now back, and Jane is back in treatment for stage 4 cancer. She is publishing VOLUME II online here, as a collection of essays, podcasts, videos, and beautifully shot photos, to help other women, and carers experiencing the same thing. It turns out stage 4 cancer is a very different beast.
